The IMPREC project is focusing on developing, adopting and validating novel concepts related to reduction of pollution from wastewater and increasing the reuse of wastewater sludge, using cost-efficient methods. The project has also an ambition to prove that it is possible to achieve pollution reduction in a much more cost-beneficial manner than traditional methods, using innovative
technologies.

Wastewater sludge is one of the neglected phosphorous sources, and IMPREC addresses the possibilities to treat wastewater in such a way that the plant availability of phosphates will be increased.

The IMPREC project is funded by Polish-Norwegian Research Programme with Project Contract No. POL-NOR/196364/7/2013.
